MESSAGE FROM CLUB PRESIDENT SCOTT JAMES AND AUSKICK CO-ORDINATOR DARREN BRANDLI
New Home Ground in 2016!
This season we are moving to our new home ground of Wembley Sports Park (bordered by Salvado Rd, Selby St and Hay St) which is just up the road from our former home base of Henderson Oval and in the same precinct as the Matthews Netball Centre.
Here the new $3.5m pavilion is under construction, consisting of social hall, kitchen and bar facilities, multiple change rooms and storage areas. Complementing the new pavilion will be a childrens nature playground to be constructed at the northern boundary of Wembley Oval.
Use of both Wembley Oval and Pat Goodridge Oval (Auskick) means plenty of space for everyone to have a kick.
Parking areas for Wembley Sports Park can be found off Selby St and also off Salvado Rd (which is near the Matthews Netball Centre).
Canteen facilities are available for those Sunday morning sausage sizzles and bacon and egg rolls. A coffee van completes the picture.
Night Time Footy
Wembley Sports Park also boasts lights which means night time fixtures are possible. It's something the WJFC Committee will co-ordinate with our teams and other clubs this season to see if there is interest for a game or two. Our end of season social kick around under lights in 2015 was a big success!
When do we play and When does the season start?
WJFC play on Sundays and the 2016 season starts on May 1st.
Details of Auskick session times:
- PP & Yr 1 Session: 08:30am - 09:30am
- Yr 2 & Yr 3 Session: 09:30am - 10:30am* (Year 3 will have some home and away games where times may vary. Check with your manager/coach)

Can I help?
Like all grass roots sports, our club can only operate and grow with the help of volunteers. WJFC has a great group of families and an enthusiastic committee building a club where community spirit, respect and fair play is central.
A community club of choice.
We welcome new families and volunteers, so spread the word and contact us.
